Cognitive Behavioural Therapy forms the foundation of the support you or your loved one will experience, but I also draw on a Psychodynamic approach. This allows me to offer a richer perspective on how individuals and their ways of thinking evolve over time, shaped by their relationships with others. Put simply, it’s about understanding how we develop our sense of identity. This isn’t a solitary or flawless journey, and that’s part of what I find rewarding—guiding people to better recognize who they are and sharpen their self-definition. It’s a foundation for building stronger self-esteem, wiser decisions, and healthier routines.

With around 20 years of counselling experience, I’ve worked within the NHS, providing both brief and extended therapy for a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.

In 2010, I launched my private practice, which has since grown to focus primarily on treating Eating Disorders.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), The National Centre for Eating Disorders, and B-EAT. In 2008, I completed specialized training in Eating Disorders to become a NCFED master practitioner and I’ve kept my skills sharp with annual update courses ever since. I’ve also had the privilege of training with several highly regarded experts in this area. I recommend checking out the NCFED page, where founder Deanne Jade shares her extensive insights on Eating Disorders and Obesity. Her comprehensive, current training programs pass this expertise down to us as members.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) I abide by their code of ethics. As part of my duty-of-care ethical approach to all my clients, I will work in collaboration with other medical professionals to fully support recovery.
